Advance SEO settings for Blogger

Go to your Setting and follow up the rest :

1. Title : Go to Google and search for niche in which your blog is about. You will get various seacrh results, now edit your blog title & write one of those mentioned seacrh result.
2. Description : Now give the description of your blog under 500 words. Make sure to focus on targeted keyword while writing the description. In this way you can make readers aware of what the blog is about and also increase Google ranking.
3. Privacy : Make sure that your blog is visible to search engine. In some cases this feature is disabled so make sure that you enable it then only google will be able to index your blog.
4. Post : Many people ask that how much post should I show on my blog main page. So I recommend that showing 10 post initially is sufficient but when you grow you should increase that number also. This is already given in your setting you can customize that form your settings.
5. Comment : This is most important setting if you don't want spammy comments. Make sure to change that setting to Users with Google Accounts. By this only people with Google account will be able to comment on your post.
6. Comment Moderation : Make sure to enable it to Always and fill in your email address for moderation request. The main advantage of this feature is that if anyone comment on your post then it will only be published when you approve.
7. Language : If your site is in regional language then make sure to edit the language otherwise Blogger will treat your site in English (By Default) and will unable to read your content & your UI will look very poor.
8. Time Zone : This is most important setting which most of people forget to change. Make sure the time zone of blog matches with the time zone of your Country.

After all this the most important change is to enable Search Description & give description of your blog in meta tag in about 150 characters. This helps google in ranking your site to fit into desired search result.

Now you need to inform google that your site exists. So go to Google Webmaster and click on add property option. You will see below image :

Just add your domain name and you are good to go.

Enable your custom robots.txt and copy-paste the below code.

You can also add SSL if you have one. Also enable customs robots header tags. From Custom robot tags for home page select "all", "noodp", "noindex". and for posts and pages select "all" and "noodp".

Now coming to interesting and important part for which most of us create blog. If you have adsense approved then simply go to Monetization section and enable "Custom ads.txt" and write the id provided to your adsense account.
